A date for your diary - wedding open house

Strawberry Hill House and Garden has been described as a 'magical wedding venue' and with good reason.

It was created in the 18th century by the famous writer and collector, Horace Walpole, and today, his stunning white villa is not only Grade I-listed but is internationally recognised as Britain's finest example of domestic Georgian Gothic revival architecture. With the Thames nearby, Strawberry Hill benefits from extensive grounds, complete with five acres of Grade II* listed gardens, making it ideal for those all-important photographs.

To give couples a vision of what their celebrations could look like, couples are invited to the Wedding Open House on Saturday 7th October 2023, between 11am and 3pm. It's the perfect opportunity to help you realise your vision for your special day, with the house dressed and presented to showcase a range of styles. You'll have the chance to view the big-day spaces, meet the wedding team, who'll be able to answer all your questions and discuss your ideal food and drink choices for your day – choosing whether to have canapes and cocktails to begin the celebrations or something more playful, such as patisserie cabinets, bagel walls or even pizza vans. From intimate gatherings to grand affairs of more than 200 guests, Strawberry Hill House was built as a special place to entertain, dazzle and inspire romance. The Wedding Open House is an ideal way to see how you can create your fairytale day in a gorgeous white castle.
